QOGLR Plaque

The QOGLR (The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment) Plaque is one of the latest additions by Ex – Gurkha Khukuri house to enhance the Gurkhali items and also to honor the prestigious Brigade of Gurkhas. It is actually the replicated version of the original ones found only in official army departments and the Gurkha Museum in the UK.The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment, formerly The Queen’s Own Gurkha Transport Regiment, The Gurkha Transport Regiment and The Gurkha Army Service Corps, was formed as a component part of The Brigade of Gurkhas on 1 July 1958. Another chapter commenced for the Regiment when Her Majesty the Queen graciously approved the redesignation of The Gurkha Transport Regiment as ‘The Queen’s Own Gurkha Transport Regiment’ with effect from 22 August 1992. It is also accompanied by a Gurkhas Book to make buying more interesting and to bring closer to the masses the undying history and information on Gurkhas.
