This is one of the latest and special kukri of Ex-Gurkha Khukuri House(EGKH) named as Hunter Sirupate .This particular knife’s name came from the name of grass named “siru”.The shape of this khukuri’s blade is very much alike to the leaf of the “siru”.Hence it is called as sirupate khukuri.This type of blade is most often used in hunting purpose or even can be used in cutting trees so very much popular among the rural people so finally we decided to keep the name of this exclusive kukri as Hunter Sirupate.The handle of this kukri is made up of rose wood and its a full tank blade with the grip.All Khukuris have two pockets on the back of the scabbard which hold a blunt steel called “chakmak”

The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade.
