Therefore it is called Chitlange Khukuri.The scabberd of this kukri made of buffalo horn with skillfull chitlang village crafmanship by hand.This chilange horn kukri scabbard is other then unique shape and disine.It is very good for souvenir and for decoration.The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade.
