Probably the most renowned fighting knife in the world is the kukri, the wickedly curved kukri of the Gurkhas of Nepal. It is Historic Kukri. The blade is flat, light by weight and comfortable to carry. In the wartime, the sight of this formidable Khukuri in the hands of the Gurkha soldiers was enough to bring the enemy at their wit’s ends. This Kukri is a very famous knife among tourists and collectors because of the fact that it was actually used by Gurkha soldiers/army during first world wars. This Kukri knife played a very significant role in creating the history of the Gurkhas. This Kukri was also great to use for any kind of heavy or light duty. The water poured temper on the blade makes it very strong. The handle is very stronger then world War II kukri. Basically carried in a leather case, mostly walnut wooden grip and traditionally having two small knives and the blade is made of highly graded carbon steel (mostly used in railway tracks).

Virtually indestructible.
Out of so many Kukris available, this one especially caught my attention; a long, wide blade, very thick spine, nicely done curving on the rosewood handle for a better grip and 58~60 RC on the edge! It weighs almost 3lb and I bet a Mack Truck can run over this blade and make a few scratches!
A very well-crafted replica of WW I-era Kukri and craftsmanship is amazing with little flaw and minor imperfection. They say it’s a fine replica and very popular souvenir knife among tourists and collectors because of its historical significance, but it’s not a drawer/shelf queen merely for decoration. It’s a sheer workhorse and battle-proven weapon. It’s solid, heavy and hefty with a razor-sharp edge that can slice a sheet of paper out of the parcel box from Nepal, and I can’t help but imagine what a catastrophe one swing of this blade can cause.
I’ve nicknamed this formidable Kukri Abhaya, or “Fearless” in Nepali.
The only issue I ever have, nonetheless, is not the quality of the product but customer service.
I imagine Mr. Giri the Managing Director is sitting at his office in California and his shop from where I’ve received my Kukri is in Kathmandu. I’d like a better and little faster communication with Mr. Giri and faster shipping.
It took the parcel 2 full weeks to reach Tokyo from the time I placed an order.
