A Kopis/khopesh is defined as a curved blade where the cutting edge of the blade is usually on the blade’s convex edge. The khopesh has a sickle-like shape so that the part of the blade opposite the handle has a slight hook. That’s why some scholars classify the khopesh as a sickle-sword, a type of sword found across the Nile valley, east Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. As a curved sword, the khopesh was used primarily as a cutting, slashing, and chopping weapon. This was useful before the use of body armor designed to withstand slashing became widespread. This khopesh is sword sharp and ready for a lifetime of faithful service.
A Trusty Blade For Every Adventure – This KOPIS knife with sheath is designed for heavy-duty applications – a great choice for camping, hiking through the jungle, and agricultural or household use.
Sharp, Foolproof Blades – We use carbon steel knife blades that retain sharpness better and for longer. The heavy, curved belly allows for more power with each swing of our high carbon steel machete.
Comfortable Ergonomic Design – A beautifully carved handle allows for a firm yet comfortable grasp. This kukri machete has an enlarged heel to prevent the blade from slipping out of your hands.
A Handmade Machete with Sheath – The machete sword comes with a leather sheath for carrying, storage, and excellent protection for the blade so you’re safe while it’s fastened on your belt loop.
Authentic & Proudly Handmade – Each machete kukri is hand-forged in Kathmandu Nepal by EGKH expert sword smiths. They come with a certificate of guarantee, a leather tag, and wrapping lokta paper.
