This 20″ Blade Machete – Book of Eli High Carbon Steel Machete. A thick-spined blade, it is crafted from 5160 high carbon steel and differentially tempered to optimize the blade. The edge is hard (56-60 HRC) to resist dulling and the body and spine (45-46 HRC and 22-25 HRC) are of softer steel to give the blade some shock-absorbing properties and to ensure that it is not so hard throughout. Two halves of carved rosewood have been riveted to the thick tang for a grip. It comes with a leather sheath with a basic adjustable strap that allows it to be worn on the back.
