American Eagle Dragon Spine
The American Eagle Dragon Khukuri by Ex-Gurkha Khukuri House has a ridged and serrated saw-back cutting spine in addition to the traditional forward sloping Kukri blade edge. The tip has been up-turned slightly to make the Khukuri able to thrust in a more direct angle. The spine has been etched with decorative scales.
The blade has been crafted from 5160 high carbon steel and is differentially hardened so that it has a spine of softer, flexing steel and a hard edge that will not dull as easily as softer steels. The bolster and pommel are made of steel and the pommel has a pre-drilled lanyard hole. The thick blade tang has been fitted with a pair of polished buffalo bone slabs for a grip.
The scabbard has a skin of buffalo leather and a core of carved pinewood constructed with traditional ‘’Laha’’ Nepalese glue. It has an integrated tip loop and black leather belt loop.
The Kukri, with its forward sloping, wide blade is already a fearsome looking knife, but this Kukri takes it a step farther by modifying the wide spine to have a serrated saw-back edge that not only gives the back of this Kukri a new cutting utility, but also gives it a vicious, razor-backed appearance. A large and beefy knife, this Khukuri will make short work of foes and camp chores.
