This is 10.5″ Gurkha Issue Tactical Outdoor Kukri and EX-GURKHA KHUKURI HOUSE has endeavored making this khukuri with a modification. This kukri is Current Issue to Nepal Army Commando Traning. This is 10.5 inch blade light blade kukri similar to Nepal Army service kukri but this is unpolished blade with both side sharp on the top of blade for commando tactical issue, on the handle there is blocker to secure for hand. The handle is made of rosewood with full tang blade. The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade.

Handle Size and Type :4.5 inch (11.43cm) and Full tang handle.

Overall length : 15″ from tip of the blade to pommel of the handle (Aprox).

Material Used : Highly Graded Carbon Steel(car & jeep leaf spring, 5160) for blade. Water buffalo Leather for the Scabbard (inside), Rosewood for the handle, Pinewood for Scabbard(inside), Whitemetal and Laha(Nepali Traditional Glue).

Weight : 600 gms(24 Oz. Approx).

Upper Spine : 7 mm.

Lower Spine : 3 mm.

Belly : 2.7 cm.

Handle Circumference : 4.5 Inch.

Hardness of steel : spine= 22-25 RC, belly= 45-46 RC, edge= 58-60 RC.
